The Oregon Department of Corrections Behavioral Health Unit provides several levels of mental health treatment along with individualized case management. Mental health services are targeted to inmates with severe or persistent mental illness. Short-term services are available to inmates who are not mentally ill, but who show high suicide potential, or who are experiencing other emotional distress.
You must have, or have the ability to obtain a current Physician's license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners at the time of appointment and board certified in the area of specialty.
