Acclaim Physician, a partner with JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, TX is looking for a primary care physician to join the Dept. of Family Medicine team as Correctional Medicine Assistant Medical Director. The provider in this role will be responsible for administering and interpreting all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations within the Tarrant County Jail setting. This position will also educate patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments; may also conduct physicals, order tests and serve as a patient's healthcare provider.
Duties and Essential Functions:
1.Coordinates the multidisciplinary care delivered to all patients, to optimize patient care.
2.Reviews patient medical charts to diagnose, treat, and provide care management and education to patients and families.
3.Makes appropriate patient referrals as necessary.
4.Monitors guidelines for the management of care and for ensuring the services are delivered in compliance with the guidelines established by JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group.
5.Provides evidence-based and compassionate care to all patients as assigned to improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction scores. Demonstrates patient centered and patient valued behavior.
6.Collaborates with different health team members and correctional team members to ensure all protocols, security policies, and procedures are followed while still delivering healthcare to those in need.
7.Consults with prison authorities to ensure that they understand all medical requirements and restrictions.
8.Provide oversight to Advanced Practice Providers on the Correctional Medicine team.
9.Attends Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committee meetings; and is an active participant in the process.
10.Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
•Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
•Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
•Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas.
•Previous experience working in a large jail system preferred.
