Transitional Living, an agency of Community Health Alliance, is in need of a full-time Forensic Team Clinical Supervisor for the Mental Health Services program in the Butler County Jail. This position provides a variety of mental health supports to inmates and corrections personnel. These services are primarily prevention education, consultation, crisis intervention and linkage services.
Clinical Job Duties
Provides Individual assistance to all identified inmates to help stabilize and maximize functioning and adaptation to the environment.
Participates in appropriateness of the client’s housing status, and makes appropriate recommendations on inmate classifications.
Works within best practice guidelines.
May lead or co-lead groups as necessary.
Oversight and management of the mental health program in the Butler County Jail.
Supervision and training of members of the team which includes Forensic Social Workers and Forensic Case Coordinator.
Provision of crisis intervention services.
Facilitation of mental health groups.
Master’s degree (MA or MSW) with independent licensure and experience working in the correctional system preferred.
LISW or LPCC
Interest in working in a correctional setting
Excellent clinical, communication, documentation, time management and computer skills
Management, coordination and collaboration skills
Understanding of the challenges, complexities, and needs of the correctional system
